Simple 1st Birthday Decor for Boys & Girls

If you are looking for 1st birthday decor for your little boy or girl without wanting to go over the top, then you are at the right place! I resue the decor shown for each of my children. By keeping it simple, I am able to resue this decor for other events as well!

For my daughter's 1st birthday, I did a super simple yet beautiful backdrop that could work for any event, especially a bridal or baby shower! The wreaths were made for my baby shower and I ended up leaving them up to decorate this big empty wall in our back yard. To complete this look and give it a feminine touch, I added sheer white curtains. Then I just covered our outdoor storage bin with a white table cloth, threw some lemons on there, placed the extra garland in the back, and bam, we had a gorgeous backdrop that was inexpensive and took little time to set up!

For my son's first birthday, I went with a navy blue and gold theme. Navy blue and gold always make for a pretty combo, and I can resue this setting for other events!
