Blue & White Striped Front Tie Blouse as a Crop Top

This blouse is much longer, but I wanted to experiment with a different look. To achieve this, I left all the buttons undone, used dress tape to secure everything in the chest area, and tied it up to the desired height! I usually wear this blouse the way it is intended to be worn but again wanted to try a different look using the same article of clothing. This is one of my favorite tops for summer! It has a very coastal vibe and is loose and flowy to keep you cool! The top is sheer and low cut, so I wear a white tank top underneath. I ordered a medium to ensure the blouse would be loose and flowy, but this is true to size, and there is no need to order one size up to ensure it is flowy. Although the lighting in this photo makes the stripes appear darker, in person, this top looks as advertised on Amazon. The top looks great with anything from jeans to a skirt. You can dress it up or down. The shirt hits the middle of my hip bones, I am 5’8” for reference and is a little longer in the back. After one wash, the buttons did become very loose, but due to how inexpensive the top was, I figured this would be the case. I just took all the buttons off and sewed them on tightly myself; it took all of 10 minutes. I barely know how to sew, so if I can do this, you will have no problem at all! Also, the buttons are pearl-like with a little loop making sewing them back on that much simpler! Although there is a bit extra work involved with reattaching the buttons, I think it was completely worth it given how cute this top is and for the price.
